Beef Stew with Bacon Recipe
Ingredients
- 8 ounces bacon, coarsely chopped
- 2 and ½ pounds beef stew meat
- ¼ cup flour
- 4 cups beef broth
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 and ½ pounds small potatoes, halved
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme (or 1 tablespoon fresh thyme)
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 4 carrots, halved and cut into 1 inch pieces
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
